Education Week- October 19-23

Dear BCS Students and Parents,

Education Week is from October 18-24 this year and we have some activities planned for the week. The theme for this year is “Big Skies-Bright Futures – Learning in Saskatchewan”. Monday, October 19  - (K – 12) The  YES Team is once again sponsoring the Community and School-Wide breakfast from 8:00 – 8:45 a.m.  Everyone is welcome to attend and we are hoping to have a great turn out. We will have a silver collection at the breakfast and any money collected will be given to the Humboldt & District Food Bank. Any YES Team Members who are able to help before school should be there by 7:20 am,  but if they are unable to get there they can just help when they arrive on the bus.

Tuesday, October 20 – (Grade 1-12) The younger students will be paired together with an older student for a Shared Reading activity during period 3. Students will also be doing a “when I grow up” activity, that will relate to our Spirit Day on Thursday.

Wednesday, October 21 – (K – 12)Ms. Corrinne Arnold and Mr. Jeff Mark will be sharing their love of the outdoors with our students, as they will be talking about some of their canoe/camping excursions across Saskatchewan.  There is also a hot dog sale today for those students who ordered through Rycor.

Thursday, October 22 –(Grade 1-12) Spirit Day – Students are asked to dress up like their future occupation day if they wish.

Friday, October 24 –(K – 12) Students will participate in our traditional shared lunch from 11:45-12:05 in the gym.  Students will bring their own lunch and eat with their big buddies in the gym.  Remember our school is nut free. It’s sure to be a great week. We are looking forward to seeing where you’re future takes you BCS!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Tania Dauvin-Frank, Mrs. Jade Buckle, and Ms. Angele Engele (Education Week Committee)
